Dentist

Because I had a less than pleasurable experience with you this evening during T-ball (think crawling onto the field while waiting to bat and try to crawl from first to second base, I'll blame it on no nap today), I thought I should document our outing this morning.

I think this is the third visit to the dentist, but it marks the first one where you let the hygienist work on your teeth and no tears were involved.  In fact, I was completely impressed and you did awesome!  She was able to floss, clean and fluoride your teeth, and you even opened wide for the dentist too.  Kate was very interested in what was going on to you in that big chair, so I'm especially glad you didn't start crying, because I know for sure I would have two crying kids if that had happened.

Good job, buddy.  Now if I could just get you to sit or stand still during baseball...

T-ball

Most of the pictures I've taken lately have been of t-ball, so I guess I could easily update your blog with a few of those!

You definitely have a love-hate relationship with the sport.  You love going, you love playing at the park before and after games, you love playing with Grandpa Lafeen and hitting the ball.  The rest of the standing around (which accounts for the majority of the time spent there) you don't really like.  It's difficult to get you to keep your mitt on, stay in the field, or even try to go for the ball.  You are the youngest on the team, and I've seen some improvements (with your attention span) since we started, so that's a good thing.
After you hit the ball you didn't want to get rid of the bat this time for some reason.  Grandpa is trying to get it from you so you could run to first.

I guess you could say that I have a love-hate relationship with the sport too, which is mostly due to the driving back and forth twice a week.  It's out in Herriman, which even on a Sunday without traffic takes 40 minutes or so, and trying to make it for a 6:30 game usually takes over an hour.  We've started going out early, packing or buying dinner, and eating it at the park before the game.  It cuts down on driving by about 15 minutes and let's you and Kate play at the park for a bit before each game, which is pretty much what both of you would rather be doing anyway!

You look pretty cute in your uniforms though... and we only have a few more weeks to go.
